tagged again...

So we are at it again. I am tagging all of you because we all participated and got a good laugh at it.... So here it goes. Same rules....

top 5 most frustrating things: (in no order)

1. the 4pm lazy biscuits - every day i come home from work with just enough ambition to take my afternoon dump and then nap on the couch. most days this is exactly what happens. i could be working out. i could be making a big, delicious dinner. i could be blogging. i digress.
2. my hair - i know this is such a woman thing to say but it's the truth. my hair is not exactly curly, not exactly wavy and certainly not straight. it grows like crazy. i am getting haircuts all of the time but it doesn't look good long or short. i'm pretty much sick of it.
3. insomnia - not sure if i am a clinical insomniac, but i don't sleep at night. 4-5 hours is average. i wake up like once an hour and i'm sick of it. i know i could try giving up coffee or eliminating my hour nap after work but this isn't a new problem.
4. math - i am not sure when i lost my abilities to add, subtract, multiply and divide... but they're GONE. i can't add up scores for card games. i can't figure percents off. if i pay with cash i put money and change on the counter and ask pathetically... "how much is this many?"
5. gerd - stomach acid, heartburn and super flatulence. prilosec is expensive. i love spicy food but it doesn't love me. :(

top 5 most comforting things: (in no order)

1. naps (courtesy of the 4pm lazy biscuits) - after i take my after-work dump i grab the throws, one on top of the other, my little travel pillow and snuggle up for my afternoon nap. jamie is at work, ryan is wherever he is, and i have the couch, the house, and temporarily the world, to myself.
2. coffee - any time of the day or night, it sets me right.
3. pasta - i love to make noodles and eat the whole bowl. barilla plus gives me a full serving of protein and omega-3 which actually makes me feel even better about it. i love the barilla plus elbow macaronis. they hold the sauce, pesto or usually just some evoo just right. all those nooks and crannies... i am smiling just thinking about it.
4. comfy clothes - this is really a no brainer. sweats, jammies, old t shirts and most often just my undershorts, my "wunnerwears" if you will. if you have ever showed up at my door unexpectedly. you've seen 'em in action.
5. gsn (the game show network) - gsn just reminds me of being young, reminds me of mom, being home sick from school. the stars, the fashions, the old products/sponsor commercials. i love it... it makes me feel connected. wouldn't it be great if today's game shows were that lighthearted and corny?

playing hookie

today was a great day... i slept and watched gsn and food network all day. i ate carbs all day. i feel like a million bucks! lol... so anyways... hopefully natalie will forgive me. we are on the verge of a potential snowstorm. that did not stop us from going to starbucks and jumbos for marble macchiatos and double hamburgers with a-1 and aged swiss. it was heaven on a bun with a side of heaven in a paper cup.

ch 3 dc 12 flip ch 3 dc 12... i can't believe paula put him through to the next round!

i've crocheted three scarves this week. i'm not kidding. mom was over last weekend and she was finishing her 100th scarf for the season (you have one right? if not she's probably making one for you now!) and i decided to have her help me finish one i started 6 years ago. i had about 8 inches done... and after her expert instruction (i told her to make a dvd... if billy blanks can torture us for an hour and we will pay him $19.99 for it... imagine how much she could get for something that is actually fun and non-torturous!) so long story short i finished the scarf that day and have multitasked during my excessive tv watching and finished one for jc and one for my sweetie arielle! (arielle doesn't know yet so don't ruin the surprise) oh... i haven't worked out in almost 4 weeks. haven't really gained any weight... but my mid section seems to have sagged in rebellion. sick of it.
